History

The club was previously known as the old Bramley Social club, a private members club affiliated to the Club & Institute Union.   Following the decline and fall of Bramley Social Club the building was then sold and taken into private ownership.  It was subsequently identified that a new business model was needed in order to continue to introduce new activities on a sustainable basis as well as retaining some of the clubs traditional aspects.

The club had to be made into an attractive and affordable proposition, open for everyone, in the community which it serves.

Today

The club is now called The Bramley “Villagers” Community Club and ownership of the club has been transferred to The Villagers Community & Sports Foundation (TVCSF).  You can read more about TVCSF and our aims by clicking here.

The club is no longer a private members club so you don’t need to be signed in or have to be a member to use the club anymore.

Our club ethos is about bringing the community together.

The day to day running of the club is carried out by a small team of friendly bar staff and management (pictured here).  Support also comes from volunteers and together they help co-ordinate and service a programme of activities and entertainment for our community.
